I figured for my first post I should shoot for the top. Judge - Chung King Can Suck It
I remember hitting the enter key on my keyboard, sending a paypal payment for around the same amount of money as what I paid for my first car. Man was I excited, scared, worried and happy all at the same time.
I was buying a record sight unseen from a guy in Spain I had never talked to before. I was taking his word for it that it was a) legit and b) in great condition. He was balking at my last offer. He said he had a friend locally who would buy it for that same price and unless I bumped my offer up considerably, he would sell it to him. I wasn't going to let this chance go and roll the dice with ebay! Who knows when the day one would show up and then have to compete with the rest of the world.
No. This was it.
I don't regret the money I spent. I don't regret the sacrifices I made after to budget for it. I would only regret if I let it pass me by.
Here are some more shots of the Chung!

i only wish i could have a crazy collection like you have. i recently just started buying vinyl for the hell of it and to also support bands i like obviously cds are lame dead and pointless. so i buy vinyl and it saves me the time of searching for downloads of the album online. any advice for a new collector?
ReplyDeleteandrew,I do realize this post is many a year later-But as an individual-I buy records that i possess a certain memory in time, tied to it.EVERY record has a story or Memory tied to it. have you ever seen the movie "Hi Fidelity?" this is a superb movie for any record collector to view, as it ties into music, love, romances gone wrong-Superb watch.
ReplyDeletepardon my overuse of the word "superb" please!
